Woman arrested over attempted murder of two 10-year-old boys
Two 10-year-old boys have been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a stand-off lasting eight hours.
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the horrifying incident in Lincolnshire.
Concern for safety was first reported in a call to police at 1.49pm on Tuesday.
Firearms officers went to the scene and specially-trained officers negotiated with a woman inside a property from around 4.30pm.
The stand-off, in Fold Hill, Friskney, ended shortly after 1am when officers forced entry.
The children were taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds. They are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 39-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. She remains in police custody.
A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
Officers say there was no wider threat to residents during the incident.
Roads in Fold Hill were closed for a number of hours but have now reopened.
