The advert says the Sierra comes in ‘Moonstone Blue with a virtually unmarked Recaro grey cloth interior,’ and ‘just two former keepers have had the pleasure of owning this time-warp car from new.
‘It was dry stored in 2003 and only recently emerged from hiding to undergo a thorough recommissioning in April of this year at a cost approaching £7,000.’
Ford partnered with Cosworth for its motorsport programme and the Sierra Cosworth was built as a road-going homologation model to allow it to go racing.
It featured a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine with around 200hp which was sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
