FAST fashion and cheap garments come at a price – and Courtney Hicks learnt in the hard way.
PrettyLittleThing has become a go-to shopping site for many – after all, the delivery’s relatively speedy and the products don’t cost a fortune either, so what is there not to love?
The fashion fan went on PLT’s website to find a dress, when she stumbled across this green number[/caption]Well, while there have been hundreds of customer wins, not everyone’s had a successful shopping haul with Molly-Mae Hague‘s brand – and Courtney is no exception.
Looking to give her wardrobe an update ahead of the festive season, the hair stylist decided to have a browse online, where she stumbled upon a stunning bodycon dress in vibrant green.
The little number, complete with a trendy corset detailing in the front, was under the brand’s plus size section and retailed for £55.
Not thinking twice, Courtney immediately bagged the dress and patiently waited for the garment to be delivered.

”Please, don’t be ugly… please, don’t be ugly,” the style enthusiast begged.
But unfortunately, the prayers didn’t pay off – when she finally tried it on and looked in the mirror, Courtney was mortified by what she saw in the reflection.
Not only did the company sent her the dress twice as big as she had originally ordered but the material was also of poor quality and looked nothing like the advertisement.
”Everything about the dress was wrong.”
