8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘The Voice’!” The knockouts round concluded on November 7 after three nights of a series first ever three-way matchups. In this final stretch of the competition, artists will sing live each Monday for audience votes. On Tuesday evenings, the artists with the lowest votes will sing once more to be saved in a real-time vote. The competition will narrow down week by week, culminating in the two-part finale on December 12 and 13.
8:01 p.m. – First up tonight was Omar Jose Cardona, an artist that John says is “a favorite to win the season,” with Bon Joni’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.” Camila told him that he was like a rock star engaging with the crowd from the stage and performed like a pro. John called his voice “out of this world” and pointed out that there’s few people who can sing like he can because of his range.
8:09 p.m. – The next artist from Team Legend was the “velvet powerhouse” Kim Cruse with her rendition of “I Never Loved a Man (the Way I Love You)” by Aretha Franklin. Blake commented that her performance felt like an attack because of the strength of her voice. He said she’s the one artist this season that can do Aretha and she did it justice. John added that she’s smart and tasteful with her choices because it’s soulful and done with musicality.
8:13 p.m. – Next was John’s newest artist, Sasha Hurtado, who he stole in the knockouts. For her first live performance she took on Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer.” Gwen thought this was the first time that Sasha commanded the stage and performed with confidence. John added that this was definitely the week she showed she belongs on the show with a beautiful performance.
8:22 p.m. – Team Legend closed out their half hour with the “subtle soul singer” Parijita Bastola‘s take on Lady Gaga’s “I’ll Never Love Again.” Following the performance, all four judges stood in ovation. Camila told Parijita that she was magical and impressively draws from a well of emotion. John called it an emotionally beautiful and honest performance and noted that she followed through with everything they talked about during rehearsal.
8:32 p.m. – Gwen started her team’s performances off with Kique singing “As It Was” by Harry Styles. John told him that he exudes confidence by taking popular songs and making them his own with his own style. Gwen called it amazing what creative level he’s already at for his age and with such humble confidence.
8:37 p.m. – Next up was the artist Gwen stole in the knockouts, Kevin Hawkins, and his take on “Skate” by Silk Sonic. Blake called Kevin “the one that got away” and said it’s nice to see the fun, entertainer side of him tonight. Gwen said it’s been incredible seeing him blossom on stage and said that he can “do it all” with singing and dancing.
8:46 p.m. – For her first live performance, Alyssa Witrado went with the Miley Cyrus song “Angels Like You.” Camila called her incredible and said that she loves how she expresses herself artistically, but wishes she would have gotten more lost in the song tonight. Gwen pointed out that with Alyssa’s style of voice it was impressive that she could move as much around the stage and stay in tune for the song.
8:51 p.m. – Last up for Team Gwen was her “underdog” that was only a one chair turn in the blinds, Justin Aaron. Justin went with the Luther Vandross song “Here and Now” tonight. Justin earned the second standing ovation of the night with Gwen screaming with elation. John said that Justin keeps growing round by round and he’s coming out of his shell. He said she sang Luther beautifully and with skill. Gwen called the performance incredible and said his version of it was “beyond a dream.”
9:00 p.m. – The first artist from Team Camila was Morgan Myles taking on “Let Him Fly” by Patty Griffin. Blake was pleased to hear Morgan do a country song, calling her pitch perfect and she performed like a star. Camila called her “the truth teller” because she sings songs that tell a story and it always comes through in her performances.
9:09 p.m. – Eric Who kicked off his journey through the live shows with a performance of Adele’s “Rumor Has It.” John liked that he showed “all his skills” as a performer and the mix of punk style into the bridge. Camila said Eric is an entertainer that commands the stage and wakes up the audience.
9:14 p.m. – Camila’s knockout steal Kate Kalvach went with the Shania Twain track “You’re Still the One.” Carson and Gwen both applauded Kate for singing the song so well despite the in-ears issue where she couldn’t hear herself. Camila backed that up by explaining how big of a complication that is and then complimented her for doing that song her own way.
9:24 p.m. – The final performance from Team Camila was Devix taking on “Sex on Fire” by Kings of Leon. John told Devix he has one of the most pure and beautiful voices. He said it was the right song choice for this round, but he’s still waiting for him to “unleash on another level.” Camila loves his artistic choices to change the melody and that he’s a “real artist” with his music.
9:32 p.m. – Blake kicked off his four performances with Bryce Leatherwood‘s rendition of Travis Tritt’s “I’m Gonna Be Somebody.” John called it the perfect song and he makes the audience believe in him as a performer. Blake added that he thinks he’s sailing through to the next round with no question.
9:41 p.m. – Team Blake continued with his knockout steal Rowan Grace‘s take on Olivia Newton John’s classic “Hopelessly Devoted to You.” Gwen called it a beautiful performance and thinks it was the perfect song selection for her because it showed all the different parts of her voice. Blake said she took on frontrunner status with that performance because she delivered a solid performance of a classic song.
9:47 p.m. – For Brayden Lape‘s first live performance he took on the Jordan Davis song “Buy Dirt.” Camila said it was her favorite performance of his because it was effortless and there was “ease in the room.” Blake said it was incredible how “calm and collected” he was in the performance.
9:55 p.m. – The last performance of the night was reserved for bodie‘s rendition of Joji’s “Glimpse of Us.” Gwen called it an unexpected song choice because she’s still trying to figure out what kind of record he’d make with such a variety of skills. Blake told the audience at home that the in-studio audience was cheering loudly for him and he blew everyone away.
