7 ways to gain entry into the 2023 Leadville Trail 100 MTB & RUN

Winter is right around the corner in Leadville and that means one thing – the lotteries for the 2023 Stages Cycling Leadville Trail 100 MTB and the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 Run presented by La Sportiva are closing in. 

• Lottery Dates: 12/1 – 12/15, 2022

There are a variety of ways to gain entry into the 2023 events, so here’s a little refresher to check in on all the ways you can join us on the start line in 2023: 

1) Enter the lottery

Each year, the Leadville Race Series team accepts lottery applications for the LT100 Run & LT100 MTB. After the window closes, entrants are randomly selected for participation.

• All participants will be notified of their lottery results on January 9th, 2023.

2) Qualify at an official Leadville Race Series event

The Leadville Race Series offers up events around the country that serve as an opportunity to gain entry. You can qualify with a top performance in your category, or through the random drawing at the awards ceremony. More info on qualifiers below:

• Qualifier event registration is available on a first come first served basis. 
• Registration opens on January 10th, 2023. 

3) Partner up with one of our amazing charity partners

Bring purpose to your race by riding or running with one of the official LRS charity partners. Commit to a fundraising minimum and you will gain entry into the race.

4) Purchase a Coaching + Entry package from our official coaching partner, Boundless Coaching.

Boundless Coaching is comprised of Leadville veterans who can help you carve your path to a legendary experience on race day. Dedicated coaching, webinars, group rides and runs, all backed by a supportive community that will support your journey to the Red Carpet.

5) Participate in either the LT100 MTB or LT100 Run Camp and purchase the guaranteed entry package.

Each year, a small allocation of Camp + Entry packages are offered up (first come, first served) when the lottery launches on 12/1. Grab a Camp + Entry package and you’ll have the chance to preview the course in Leadville first-hand, while gaining a guaranteed entry to the event.

6) Apply your 2022 volunteer hours

The Leadville Race Series simply would not be possible without the tireless work of its hundreds of volunteers. If you volunteered for 10+ hours* in 2022, you can gain preference to the 2023 lottery.

*Please note, we anticipate an increase to this standard number of hours in the future. 

6) Life Time Member Guaranteed Access

Life Time members who have held a digital or in-club membership for at least 12 months (by 11/24/22) are eligible for guaranteed entry into the LT100 MTB & LT100 Run events! Members will receive an email on 12/1/2022 notifying them of their opportunity to register. The deadline to claim entry for Life Time members is 12/8/22.
