Sunny and near flat
Hello Friends,
Sunny skies and a moderate offshore wind as Sunday got started – but not much in the way of a wave at Dee Why. The dominant swell at sea was 1.7 metres at 9 seconds from the south but there was also some 8-second component from the NE as well. If you look around there should be some knee to occasionally waist high options at the best exposures. Tide was high at 0750 and will be back to low at 1440. Weather should stay sunny all day. Apart from the lagoon entrance at Northy, water’s clean all along the beaches and the temp is sitting on 18C.
Outlook for the coming week remains so-so. There should be little bumps around here and there most days with the best conditions during the morning hours.
The swell models are showing a solid south pulse filling in around Friday, but the wind call isn’t looking too hopeful (strong and southerly). As always, we shall see what we see…

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will remain slow moving over the interior of the state today leading to a period of generally benign weather conditions and easing winds. Winds will shift north to northeasterly on Monday ahead of another trough moving across the state, likely crossing into the Tasman Sea on Wednesday or early Thursday. West to southwesterly wind expected in the wake of the trough.
