[Men's Golf] Men's Golf Takes On Bent Tree GC
Doane Men's Golf competed in the Bent Tree Intercollegiate on Monday in Council Bluffs, Iowa, playing 36 holes. The Tigers finished with a score of 608 (304-304) and placed fifth overall. Indian Hills CC won the event with a 571.
The Tiger varsity team was led by Blake Andersen (SR/Grand Junction, Colo.) with a 148 (75-73) as he tied for 11th. Julius Rauter (FR/Horb am Neckar, Germany) tied for 17th as he posted a 150 (75-75). Achilleas Lazaridis (FR/Limassol, Cyprus) tied for 32nd with a 154 (77-77). Blake Skoumal (SO/Omaha, Neb.) shot a 157 (78-79) and tied for 40th. Andrew Paquette (SR/Beatrice, Neb.) rounded out the team with a 163 (77-86) and tied for 55th overall.
The Doane "B" team was led by Ryan Weiss (JR/Franklin, Neb.) as he shot a 150 (74-76) to tie for 17th. Josh Spomer (SR/Lincoln, Neb.) shot a 162 (79-83) and Riley Podliska (SR/Lincoln, Neb.) shot a 162 (78-84) as they tied for 52nd place. Reinier van Exel (SO/Doorn, Netherlands) posted a 171 (89-82) and Sam Arnold (SO/Elkhorn, Neb.) also shot a 171 (86-85) as they tied for 61st overall. Thomas Benninghoff (JR/Overland Park, Kan.) tied for 55th with a 163 (85-78) as he played under individual status.
Next up for the Tigers will be the Nebraska Intercollegiate on September 30 and October 1 in Norfolk.
