A BRUTE throttled his new bride and threatened her with a sword after moving her into the home of his ex-wife and kids.
Barry Beanland, 66 — who now lives as a woman — also spat booze in Ugandan partner Harriet Nalukenge’s face, grabbed her throat and squeezed her neck during the sickening attack.
The thug then forced his terrified wife, 29, to hide in a cupboard after her ordeal at their home in Dalmellington, Ayrshire.
Beanland, who married Ms Nalukenge six weeks after they met, claimed he was the victim of an “immigration scam” and that he put Ms Nalukenge in a headlock “in self defence” but a law chief rejected his lies.
Beanland confirmed when asked by his solicitor Quinton Muir that he now wished to be known as Triana Morrison.
Ayr Sheriff Court heard the couple wed in December 2020 and days later the mum of two moved into his former family home.
Beanland said tensions grew between the newlyweds soon after his ex-wife moved out.
