Celebrity MasterChef’s Lisa Snowdon breaks down in tears as finals week elimination takes emotional turn
CELEBRITY MasterChef’s Lisa Snowdon broke down in tears as the latest elimination in finals week took an emotional turn.
The former model and TV presenter had made it to the final four alongside Call The Midwife’s Cliff Parisi, All Saints singer Melanie Blatt and McFly star Danny Jones.
After another intense round of cooking for Celebrity Masterchef judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, it was announced that Cliff, 62, wouldn’t be making it through to the final.
John said: “It’s very difficult at this stage of the competition to say goodbye to one of you, because you’ve worked so hard. You’ve got this far.
“The celebrity leaving us is Cliff. Cliff, your food’s been generous, you’re good fun, it’s been a wonderful competition and so sad to see you leave.”
Cliff said: “Thank you very much. I’ve got a new love in my life, now, which is cooking, and I’ve made some fabulous friends, so what more can you ask? It’s been brilliant.”

The judges weren’t the only ones who were gutted to see the actor go, as Lisa teared up before giving Cliff a big hug.
Melanie was also tearful as she said goodbye, with Cliff hugging each of the final three before giving a salute to the judges and leaving the kitchen.
Cliff told the camera: “I couldn’t say it’s easy going out at this point. It’s not, it’s hard, I’ve got all the way here and I nearly grabbed the trophy.
“But having said that, I’ve come so far and I never expected to be here so it’s all a plus.”

Some viewers were surprised to see Melanie get through to the final, considering they had been left feeling sick by her dish which consisted mainly of peas.
Mel’s dish on Tuesday evening consisted of a pan-fried loin of lamb, served on a lawn of minted puree and buttered peas with asparagus tips, cheesy dauphinoise potatoes, braised carrots and a Madeira gravy.
Commenting on the course, Gregg admitted: “It doesn’t have the spectacular appeal of the other dishes, but Mel, you can really cook.”
Alongside an array of angry-faced emojis, one person penned: “What on earth is Mel thinking? I feel sick looking at her plate – far too many peas for my liking!”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Those peas are a bit off-putting. What an awful dish!”
While a third joked: “I think Mel’s dish needs more peas…”
