[Men's Soccer] National Power Bucks Uses Big First Half To Take Down Williamson
USCAA national power Bucks Country Community College jumped out to a big lead early in Tuesday night's game at Williamson and that was all they needed, as they came away with a 6-1 victory over the Mechanics at Harvey Field.
Bucks was able to score three goals within the first twenty-five minutes and never looked back. While Williamson's effort in the first half was there, it was not enough to rattle Bucks.
The second half though was a different story, as Williamson played inspired ball. Giorgios Karasavas (FR/Drexel Hill, PA) had Williamson's lone goal on a penalty kick however, Williamson missed an earlier penalty kick and had a goal called back due to an offsides call.
"Our guys played much better in the second half. This is a really good group of guys. They didn't quit or hang their heads in the second half. They want to get better and the absolutely will. We had our chances, we just didn't convert, " shared Williamson head coach Peter Glowa.
Williamson gets back in action on Saturday at Patrick Henry College, their first of four straight road contests.
