I’m a Target fan – I was so excited to try the new plus-size collection, the jeans were a flop but I loved the dresses
FASHION expert Kahlana Barfield Brown has teamed up with Target to create an inclusive collection.
A plus-size TikToker tried on some items from the line, but was disappointed with the sizing.
Plus-size TikTok user CatherineWitac shared her Target try on haul with her followers.
The first item the influencer tried on from the Kahlana Barfield Brown collection was the $42 mid-rise cargo jeans.
“So the cargos were the main thing that I was super excited about, but the fit wasn’t giving what I thought it was going to give one me,” Catherine said.
She explained: “The butt and thighs were really tight, and then the waist was really loose.”

The TikToker had the same problem with the high-rise faded boyfriend jeans, available for $40.
“Me and oversized don’t mix because just with my proportions, it’s just hard to find oversized jeans that fit well,” Catherine told viewers.
The final pair of jeans, the $42 white overlap waist straight legs, were also a flop for the influencer.
She concluded: “I was so excited for these because it’s really hard to find this style in plus size but once again the waist, the hips, the butt, it just wasn’t working.”

Catherine also tried on the $50 denim A-line dress with long puffed sleeves.
“The star of the show was definitely this dress, it probably fit me the best out of everything,” she said.
The TikTok user added: “It’s a little tight, but I can make it work.”
The influencer didn’t have the same luck with the $36 black and white vertical lined dress.
“This was too big but I said I’d try it on anyway, I would love it in my actual size, it’s very cute,” Catherine said.
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on then collection.
“I ordered so much of this collection and only kept 3-4 pieces so far,” said one viewer.
Another follower commented: “Hear me out the black and white striped dress, belt that, it would be so cute on you.”
“Yeah, I’m pear shaped too and the bottoms just don’t give what they’re supposed to,” wrote a third person.
