Love Island’s Amber Gill regretted coming out in tweet about ‘switching teams’
AMBER Gill has admitted she initially regretted how she announced her sexuality when she said she was “switching teams” in a post on Twitter.
In an interview with FUBAR Radio’s Access All Areas, the Love Island 2019 winner revealed it was an “off-the-cuff moment” and she suffered a moment of doubt over how she shared her news.

“A lot of my friends were like, ‘if you were gonna do it any way, that’s the typical way that you would do that.’
“Normally people have these lovely, beautiful stories and lovely, beautiful real Instagram posts, like just lush.
“I’ve put switching teams on a tweet and that’s how I came out.”

The star added: “It’s true. I meant exactly what I said.”
She also opened up about what puts her off people on a date.
Amber revealed: “I cannot stand people that are rude to waiters, people that are helping.
“I would hate if someone is on Instagram too much, like wanting to take pictures of everything. This is for a guy though I don’t have that many icks when it comes to girls, but for guys, I’m way harsher.”

Amber tweeted about switching teams when reacting to Love Island last month when an episode saw the villa boys ganging up on Tasha Ghouri.
Watching the uncomfortable scenes, Amber wrote she would “never date a man again”.
The star fumed that men “made her feel ill” as she explained she “wouldn’t put herself through” it with another man.
She added in a series of tweets at the time: “Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life.”
Amber later spoke about her tweets on Loose Women earlier this month.
