Watch as HGV locks brakes on motorway and crosses three lanes before flipping over
THE horrific moment an HGV lost control and shot across a busy motorway has been caught on camera.
The video was uploaded to YouTube by user peestux and is said to have happened on the M6 near Birmingham.
It’s all shot using a dash cam from what looks to be a van given the height of the camera angle.
The camera van is making its way along the inside lane of the M6 and a green HGV can be seen up ahead.
As it gets closer, the green HGV can be seen slowing and seems to be in some sort of trouble.
It moves to the right-hand side of the lane before its brakes completely lock, sending tyre smoke billowing into the air.

The locked brakes send the HGV sliding across three lanes of the four-lane motorway and leaves the camera van with nowhere to go.
It smashes into the side of the green HGV, the driver of which can be seen bouncing violently in the cabin.
A third car rams the camera van from behind tipping it over, before the green HGV slowly tips over and slams into the Tarmac.
A little while later a man can be seen on the road checking if people are OK.

The video’s owner peestux explains what happened in the comments:
“I’m ok, have some pain but I will go… green lorry got his wheels locked for some reason which caused him to maneuver in middle lanes I hit my brakes, but there wasn’t enough time for me to stop in time, the contact with it wasn’t very strong.
“There was the third car.. that car hit me, that power of collision caused my van and lorry to go on the sides.”
