Holistic approach to mental health
The need for a more holistic approach to mental health was discussed earlier this month during the first annual conference organised by the Department of Mental Health at the University of Malta. The conference, entitled ‘Towards Humane and Holistic Mental Healthcare’, was sponsored by HILA (Home to Independence and Limitless Abilities), the specialised care arm of the Caremalta Group. Through HILA, people are empowered through choice and developing individual abilities towards an inclusive and fulfilling life, with the main aim being for people with disability to reach their full potential.
