Woman’s decomposing body found weeks after husband ‘stabbed her to death and washed corpse DAILY to hide smell’
A WOMAN’S decomposing body was found weeks after her husband allegedly stabbed her to death and washed her corpse to hide the smell.
The victim was identified on May 20 as 50-year-old Jamie Ward.
Ward had been dead for about two weeks when cops made the discovery in Greenfield, Wisconsin on May 18.
Her badly decomposed body was found in a bedroom after a family member called police for a welfare check, according to WISN.
Dental records were used to confirm her identity.
Ward’s death has been ruled a homicide, and cops say it was a domestic violence case.

“I think it’s unsettling to know that could happen anywhere just very, very sad,” a neighbor told WISN.
Her husband, Braeden, was arrested following a standoff with police.
“It’s real scary, especially when you have little kids running around the house and outside in the yard,” another neighbor said of the standoff, also speaking to WISN.
“They blocked off Highway 100 and me and the kids were in the back and SWAT was walking through our yards and we came out and there was a man in a silver car and he was putting his hands up and crawling down on the ground.”

Ward had last been seen alive on May 4.
Documents obtained by WISN reveal that Braeden Ward admitted to cops that he had stabbed his wife.

He also claimed to have washed her decomposing body every day to limit the odor.
Further details regarding her death have not yet been revealed.
