Britain’s Got Talent in new ‘fix’ row as singer from Amanda Holden’s BBC show auditions
BRITAIN’S Got Talent fans have started a new ‘fix’ row after a singer from Amanda Holden’s BBC show auditioned.
Tonight’s episode of BGT saw a musical group called Welsh on the West End audition for the judges.
The choir consists of ten professional performers who currently perform – or have previously performed – in London’s West End.
They sang a rousing rendition of From Now On from The Greatest Showman.
The judges – including Amanda – were mightily impressed by their performance, and gave them four yeses.
However, some viewers at home recognised one of the singers – Tom Hier – from another of Amanda’s shows.

Tom performed on the BBC’s I Can See Your Voice, which Amanda, 51, also acts as a judge.
Tom appeared on the show’s Christmas Special in 2021 and even sang the same song from The Greatest Showman.
It left some thinking this could somehow give him and his fellow singers an advantage in the competition, and cried ‘fix’, even though many contestants in the past have appeared on other shows before auditioning.
Taking to Twitter, a BGT viewer wrote: “In other news, how does Amanda Holden not recognise Tom from Welsh of the West End – I did from his other show he did where she was a judge.

“And Sophie Evans from Over The Rainbow. This is starting to get into fix territory @BGT.”
Another added: “Wasn’t one of the singers on I can hear your voice at Christmas on BBC 1 and song this #BGT.”
Viewers also recognised Sophie Evans, the runner-up on the 2010 BBC talent show Over the Rainbow.
She has gone on to play Dorothy in the 2011 musical The Wizard of Oz and Glinda in the West End production of Wicked in 2017.
