AndThen marks the release of his Watch What EP on Cubism with a formidable selection of dance music
ANDTHEN appeared on our radar last year and since then he has gone from strength to strength with releases on labels such as Yousef’s Circus Recordings and Saytek’s Cubism imprint.
Gaining support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Paco Osuna and Blondish has also added fuel to the up and coming UK DJ / producer’s fire and tonight he will take to the turntables to broadcast live from saʊnd club, a venue he calls ‘the Aladdin’s cave for live streaming in the south east”.
With his Watch What EP currently causing a stir on the dance floor we asked AndThen to talk us through a selection of tracks you can expect to hear. AndThen – Watch What – Cubism
This is the title track from my Ep out now on Cubism. This is heavily influenced by Groove Armada but with a modern techy twist. This has gone down really well on the dancefloors and getting some great support. I first sent music to Cubism nearly ten years ago so I am so chuffed to have my first full Ep with them
Bizen Lopez – Ghetto Biz (Original Mix) – Sibil-la Music
This is proper party banger with a well known vocal stab. I have been playing this for about a month and it works really well every time.
Dennis Quin – Fuego – Moxy
This track has been in and out of my bag for the last year but the raw sound of it keeps me coming back
Retna / Nic Fanciulli – This Is Life – Saved
I am massive fan of Nic Fancuilli and have been since the early days, most of the tracks that come from his label Saved go straight into my bag. This one is of their best in recent years.
Duke Dumont, Kid Enigma – Let Me Dance (Jansons Remix)
Everything Jasons touches at the moment turns to gold. He has had some of the biggest tracks on Circus Recordings in the last 2 years and this remix with the acid sound is top notch.
Ango Tamarin – Antelope (Original Mix) [CIRCUS RECORDINGS]
Ango Tamarin is a someone who has belted onto the scene with releases om Trick, Circus, Saved, Knee Deep in Sound, so he’s not mucking about. He doesn’t show his face on socials so I have been trying to work out who he is! Either way an amazing artist
AndThen – Come With Me – Cubism
This track is part of my Watch What EP. I love playing this track to a crowd but it’s a personal favourite of mine as I played all the synth noises from scratch.
Mr. Lekka x Jan Danen – ID – Adesso
Adesso is Junior Jacks label and it has really taken off in the last 18 months with artists like Bontain, Yousef, Joeski all on the label. This one has an amazing catchy bassline. I have some music out on this label in June which I am looking forward to.
Kyle Walker – All You Need – Another Rhythm
I love the low driving drums in this and the old schools pads in this. Its got a proper summer vibe to this track.
Catz ‘n Dogz – Nasty (feat. Kiddy Smile) – Club Swet
This is a great groover from Catz ‘n Dogz the vocal is brilliant and as you can tell I like my drummy tracks so this fits the bill for me!
