I’m a cleaning pro & was horrified when I saw my gross sink drain – My 3-product technique got it sparkling
PLENTY of people ignore the built-up grime that might be growing and spreading in their sink drains at home.
Handling built-up grime isn’t the hardest thing to do when you know the right products to use.
A TikToker named Kayleigh, aka @CleanWithMeKayleighX has reached over 307,500 followers on TikTok thanks to all of her fast-paced cleaning videos.
Many people depend on her videos for instructions about how to clean some of the most difficult parts of their homes.
Sink drains tend to build up a bunch of grime and dirt if they’re not regularly cleaned out.
Kayleigh starts off her video unscrewing the top of her drain to reveal all the grotesque dirtiness underneath.
In her caption on the video, she writes: “This was so gross. I was really going to throw up.”
She runs water into a bucket to soak the top of the drain.
Then she uses a product called Star Drops’ The Pink Stuff which is supposed to be a “miracle cleaning paste.”
She uses a toothbrush to scrub away all of the grime as quickly as possible.

After that, she runs a bunch of water over the area and watches it all go down the drain smoothly.
Next, she uses the toothbrush to scrub down the top part of the drain that she originally removed.
She screws all parts of the drain back together, but she’s not quite done yet.
Lastly, she sprays the entire inside of the sink with disinfectant and wipes it down with a dry rag.
Someone in her comment section asks: “What if you don’t have the pink stuff? What else can you use to clean it with? “
Kayleigh responds: “Vinegar.”
An impressed TikToker commented: “Omggggg, I did NOT know you could do that.”
Another satisfied TikToker wrote: “Who else smiled when they saw the sinkhole after that scrub?”
A few people in her comment section warn against cleaning sink drains this way.
They claim this process could lead to serious damage.

Kayleigh’s sink drain cleaning tutorial obviously worked for her, but that doesn’t mean it will work for everyone.
