Le10Sport have reported there has been no contract between the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy and Antonio Conte’s camp about becoming the club’s next manager.
It has been reported in France over recent days that Conte has offered himself to PSG on a two-year contract (La Parisien).
RMC Sport even claimed on Tuesday that the Italian has told the Ligue 1 giants that he was ready to take the job but only if certain conditions are met.
He has allegedly demanded a salary of €30m (£25.3m) from the Parisians and told them that he wants full control over transfers.
However, Le10Sport have now completely dismissed RMC’s claims, insisting there has not been the ‘slightest discussion’ between Conte and the PSG top brass.
The publication, however, suggests that the Spurs head coach is indeed on PSG’s three-man shortlist to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
Le10Sport add that Zinedine Zidane remains the Ligue 1 giants’ preferred candidate but the club have ‘some way to go’ to convince the former Real Madrid boss to take over.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is perhaps not surprising that Conte would be on PSG’s shortlist but I do not think the Italian will walk away just months after accepting the Spurs job.
Whatever he might think of the squad’s current shortcomings, Conte will know that jumping ship so soon will do some reputational damage to him and potentially prevent him from getting another top Premier League job again in the future.
