Now the hardcore star has celebrated his comeback with a victory over Ethan Page via a referee stoppage and now looks set to embark on a thrilling rivalry with another ex-WWE man.
Following his win, he marched through the crowd and came face-to-face with Bryan Danielson, who smiled and seemingly congratulated his rival.
But Moxley ignored him and marched straight past him, leaving Danielson smirking at the turn of events.
Moxley made his debut in the ring back in 2004 and has since become an eight-time world champion.
He is also the first person to hold championships in AEW and NJPW simultaneously.
