I’m an artist and I spend every day covering my walls with trippy designs – it’s super unique and I might never finish
A 26-YEAR-OLD woman from Louisiana is working to make her entire house a work of art – her art.
She said she paints a new spot in her house every day and doesn’t know if she will ever be done completing her vision.
Charlie Kim Cooper’s pride and joy is the unique house she shares with her fiancé[/caption] She spends every day painting a new part of it with her pyschelic artwork[/caption]Charli Kim Cooper grew up surrounded by art, as her dad was a well-known Cajun artist.
Although Charli credits her dad with teaching her most of what she knows, she paints to the stroke of her own brush.
Rather than studying Cajun art, she creates vivid psychedelic-inspired murals that boast intricate designs and every color from the rainbow.
While the artist maintains a “pretty busy” schedule of art commissions (that cost up to $75, although she said her prices are increasing), her true happiness comes from the walls of the home she shares with her fiancé.
She claimed to spend every day working on a new area of her three-bedroom, three-bathroom house, which she purchased in 2015, and the walls have certainly filled up.
“I got the idea to paint my house when my fiancé’s mom and brother moved out,” she recalled.

“I wanted the place to be fresh and filled with new memories.
“I wanted to change things for the better.”
She added: “I suffer from depression and anxiety so painting really helps me and being surrounded by color helps as well.”
Her projects vary in length and size, but her favorite thing she painted “so far” is her unique bathroom mural.
“I spent two weeks, day in and day out working on it.
“It was my first mural so it’s special to me,” she noted.
The bathroom is inspired by late artist Lil Peep, and in a post to Instagram showing off her work, she said she hopes the rapper “would’ve liked it.”
WHAT DO PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY?
While no one knows for sure if Lil Peep would have been fond of Charli’s otherwordly designs, people certainly have positive feedback.
Her fiancé’s mother, who moved out in 2020, absolutely adores what she’s done with her former residence.
Her art page on Facebook has also gotten some love.
One post showing off Charli’s bold and bright kitchen garnered over 5,000 shares and was showered with compliments.
“I want a colorful house like this!” one follower exclaimed.
“You are talented and I love your creativity!”
“If I lived alone, my house would look like this too!” another fan shared.
Yet a third supporter commented: “You are having too much fun in your life … Don’t ever change!”
Charli said people have suggested using it for an Airbnb in the future, as the uniqueness of the house will surely attract customers – but she’s not completely sold on the idea.
Of course, not everyone will appreciate her talent, as she admitted there are “a few negative Nancies” out there.
“I’m sure they all have boring white walls anyways,” she quipped.
WILL SHE EVER BE DONE?
Charli embarked on her dream to fill every inch of her home with original work in August 2020, and she still claims to have loads to do.
“It’s not finished and I don’t think it will ever fully be,” she admitted.
“I think I’ll always either redo a wall or add things here and there.
“Just depends on how I feel.”
While her house is a project that may never be truly done, Charli does have some future goals for herself as an artist.
“My dream project would be to do street art, really.
“I want my work to be seen by everyone,” she gushed.
She added that she would love to be as big as her dad in the art scene.
For now, she is satisfied creating artwork for her patrons while making progress on her beloved house.
“It makes me really happy,” she mused.
