Who is Neil Tennant?
Niel Tennant is a 64-year-old English musician, singer, songwriter and music journalist.
He was born in North Shields, a fishing port near Newcastle upon Tyne.
He completed a degree in history at London Metropolitan University and then worked for two years as the production editor for Marvel UK.
Neil then became a journalist for Smash Hits, and assistant editor for the magazine in the mid-1980s.
He came out as gay in 1994 in an interview with the magazine Attitude. He produced the album Release the Stars for Rufus Wainwright.
He is also a patron of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

The Pet Shop Boys was co-founded by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe in 1981.
Neil was the primary vocalist while Christ was the keyboardist.
They manage to have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and were listed as the most successful duo in UK music history in the 1999 edition of The Guinness Book of Records.
The Pet Shop Boys were three-time Brit Award winners and six-time Grammy nominees, since 1984 they have achieved 42 Top 30 singles.
