WHEN someone says to you, ‘I’m not mad I’m just disappointed’, you know you’re in a lot more trouble than you were if they were mad, because it’s actually much worse.
Romelu Lukaku, why?Lukaku pictured in training today after his explosive interview slamming Chelsea was released to the public[/caption] The striker is reportedly not expected to leave in January, but that could change[/caption] Chelsea supporters were originally excited for Lukaku’s return to Stamford Bridge[/caption]
Why did you do an interview with Sky Italy three weeks ago talking about how you were unhappy with how Thomas Tuchel was playing you, declaring your undying love for your former team Inter Milan?
Why say you want to return and play there whilst you are still young enough, and most of all, saying you would have stayed if they offered you more money on a new contract?
Your current manager, Tuchel is a great man, and is a very open-minded person, as well as being a top class coach.
Why could you not show him the respect he deserves by going to his open door and speaking to him about how he was using you on the pitch?
Why didn’t your agent even know you were going to do this interview at Sky Italy?
I can answer that one actually, probably because he would have talked you out of it for being a fool.

But as I say, I’m not even mad at you.
As a Chelsea fan of over 30 years and remembering your first spell at the club and being so upset that it didn’t work out, when you came back to try again and show everyone you COULD be a success at Chelsea, I was over the moon, as were most of us Blues fans.
You came back a new man, a new player, and you were ready to prove a point.
Your Chelsea career started with a bang and you were playing well and scoring goals, it was all very heavenly.Lukaku has struggled with injury this season but still has five goals in eight Premier League starts[/caption]
You told us you were over the moon to be back, and you said you had plans to end your career here with us, and we all loved hearing those words.
But I ask you Romelu, were they just a lie?
You clearly always had Inter Milan in your thoughts and an aspiration to go back there as soon as possible.
That’s not cool man, not cool at all.
You’ve let Chelsea Football Club down, you’ve let us fans down, and most of all, you’ve let Tuchel down and thrown him under a bus during a time when the last thing we all needed was any drama surrounding this club.
We have been struggling for results, struggling with form, struggling with mass injuries, then these comments drop like a bomb.
Surely you knew that these comments, however you meant them to come across, would get blown up and jumped on by the media?
If you didn’t, then do you live under a rock? You’re an intelligent guy, there is no way you would not have known the detrimental effect your comments would have when they came out.
We all backed you, we sang your name, we stayed with you when your form dropped.Chelsea fans will see Lukaku for the first time since his outburst for the mouthwatering clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday[/caption]
Kids got your name on the back of their new Chelsea shirt, the fans love you and respect you.
To them, you ARE/WERE Chelsea. But maybe we’ve all totally misjudged you?Maybe your ego has taken over?
I really struggle to see how there is any going back for you now here at Chelsea after these comments.
Tuchel’s face said it all in his press conference this morning, he is a diplomatic man but even he was visibly annoyed.
He feels totally let down and probably like he has been smacked in the face.
Does he deserve that, Rom? For me, personally I won’t be booing you on Sunday, I just cannot do that.
We need to win, we need to play well, and we need positivity.
I will back you whilst you’re out on the pitch, but ONLY if you are putting in 100% effort, fighting for this club, and scoring goals….
Any sulking, any lack of effort, then sorry lad, I cannot keep my positivity going.
Final word… If you really want to be at Inter Milan rather than Chelsea right now, then please do everyone a favour and request that move.
I’m not going to shout ‘get out of our club’, it’s your call.
Either you want to be here with us or you don’t.
