Barcelona set to meet with agents of Chelsea pair Azpilicueta and Christensen as they look to wrap up four transfers
BARCELONA are planning a meeting with Chelsea pair Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen’s agents, reports suggest.
Azpilicueta and Christensen are among the Blues’ players whose contract runs out in June and have yet to agree fresh terms with the club.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca officials will meet the defenders’ representatives as they are looking to pick up the tempo ahead of next month’s transfer market.
The Spanish giants’ representatives are also reportedly going to hold talks with super agent Mino Raiola over a potential deal involving Ajax ace Noussair Mazraoui and Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
Chelsea captain Azpilicueta will decide his future next month and appears to have been offered a fresh deal by the west Londoners, which he is seriously considering.
Negotiations over a new contract for Christensen are understood to have stalled.
That leaves both players free to speak to clubs abroad as early as New Year’s Day.
Azpilicueta and Christensen appear to be keen on a move to the Nou Camp but it is claimed that no official offers have been made.

.Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt is said to be Barcelona manager Xavi’s preferred choice, but a far more expensive one at that.
Azpilicueta, 32, is facing the west Londoners’ long-standing policy of only offering players over 30 one-year extensions.
Christensen, though, could still sign a new deal along with team-mate Thiago Silva, whose contract also runs out in the summer.
However, Chelsea are also facing the risk of losing star defender Antonio Rudiger, who is likely to become a free agent in June as well.
And there is growing concern that Rudiger will not renew, with Real Madrid still keeping tabs.
