Prepare a separate bowl for each shade of food colouring.
If you are going for the rainbow look you will need 6 bowls; one for red, one for orange, one for yellow, one for green, one for blue and one for violet.
However, you can use as many or as few colours as you wish.
Once the mixture has cooked for the 45 minutes carefully separate it into the prepared bowls and add the food colouring to each.
Line a square baking tin with parchment paper.
Then slowly spoon the colours into a square baking tin, layer by layer.
They are sure to be a hit with kids[/caption]Once all the mixture is in, use a knife to swirl the mixture but don’t go too wild as you want to see the separate colours too.
Leave the filled tin at room temp for 30 minutes.
Finally, refrigerate the entire mix for 4 hours.
The easiest time to cut the sweet fudge is after 2 hours in the fridge.
The slow cooker is a simple way to melt the ingredients together but you can also use the hob but you will need to watch the mixture closely to avoid burning.
Show off the fun treat and enjoy!
Many thought the fudge was a toy like play dough at first glance.
One said it: “looks like plasticine when we was kids and just threw it all together.”
One thing is for sure, this rainbow fudge is sure to be a hit with the kids, give it a try.
