Woman in her 70s killed after car collides with on-duty ambulance driving to callout
A PENSIONER has been killed in a horror smash after a car collided with an ambulance on its way to a callout.
Police rushed to the scene near a car park in Chatham, Kent and the woman in her 70s was taken to a London hospital.

Her death has prompted a probe into the crash, which happened shortly before midday on Tuesday, November 23.
The smash happened in The Brook, at the exit road from the multistorey car park.
It’s understood the ambulance was on its way to an incident when it collided with a car.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Department are investigating the circumstances and want to hear from anyone who has information and is yet to speak with an officer.
A spokesman for the force said: “Investigators are particularly keen to obtain privately held CCTV and dash cam footage which captures any of the parties involved.”
Speaking after the crash, a South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) spokesman said: “The vehicle was en route to a nearby incident at the time of the collision.
“Ambulance crews attended the scene and the two occupants of the car were assessed and treated before being taken to hospital.”
The ambulance were were “shaken but uninjured”.
