[Men's Basketball] Hawks End Tough Road Trip With Loss at (RV) Menlo
ATHERTON, Calif. – The San Diego Christian College Hawks men's basketball team are still looking for their first win of the season after suffering a 74-57 defeat at the hands of the (RV) Menlo College Oaks on Saturday in Atherton, CA. The loss moves the Hawk's record to 0-9 on the season (0-4 GSAC).
The game started promisingly for SDCC as the team matched points and pace with Menlo early in the game. Seven different Hawks would find the basket in the first ten minutes of play and the score would be deadlocked at 18 after San Diego Christian's, Kavonte Kinney made a layup. The remainder of the period would be all Oaks however as the hosts would go on a 22-4 run to end the first half.
Even though the Hawks would outscore the Oaks in the second half, the deficit created at the end of the first would be too great for them to come back from.
Otto Taylor would lead the SDCC offense with 17 points
