SPORTS broadcaster, Cealey Godwin is a well-known face on the New England Sports Network or NESN.
She took to Twitter to make an announcement regarding her tenure with NESN this week.
Is Cealey Godwin leaving NESN?
On November 26th, 2021, Cealey Godwin announced via Twitter that she would be leaving NESN.
“Goodbyes are never easy, but here we are… Tonight, I will host my final After Hours while Saturday morning’s Sports Update will be my last show with the network. With it being the holiday season, I am full of gratitude.”
“Launching a show a few months before a pandemic was one of the toughest yet most rewarding experiences of my career,” she said in a follow-up tweet.
“I’ve always heard this is the best sports market in the country & man, was it ever,” she continued before thanking the viewers.
The award-winning sports journalist also tweeted a picture of the NESN building after wrapping up her final hours.

Where is Cealey Godwin going?
Godwin’s departure marks two years at NESN.
She intends to take the time off and spend it with her family.
“With that being said, I plan on enjoying some much-needed time off with my family before getting back to the dream,” she tweeted.
She asked her fans to be “good to one another.”
She has yet to mention any future plans.
Who is Cealey Godwin?
Godwin majored in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Florida.
She has worked in various networks, including iHeartMedia Madison, 9News, NESN, etc.
In 2018, she won the Edward R. Murrow Regional Award for Sports Reporting and in 2017, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, WBA, award for Best Sportcast.
She got her first taste of television as a teenager being a contestant and winner of the fifth season of the reality TV series, Endurance: High Sierras.
