I’M A Celebrity viewers all have the same thought after watching tonight’s launch episode – where are Ian Beale and Steve McDonald?
EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt and Coronation Street icon Simon Gregson are due to enter the castle this series – but tonight there was no sign of them.
Ian Beale actor Adam, 53, is EastEnders‘ longest-serving cast member and currently on an extended break from the show.
And Simon, 47, has played hapless Steve McDonald in Coronation Street for 32 years.
Instead the camp was stocked with stars like Saturdays star Frankie Bridge, BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin and Paralympian gold medalist Kadeena Cox.
Olympic diver Matty Lee, radio presenter Snoochie Shy and former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips also made their debuts tonight.
They were joined by music producer Naughty Boy, Judy Finnegan’s husband Richard Madeley, retired footballer David Ginola and Emmerdale star Danny Miller.
But fans just want to see the soap legends arrive at the camp.
One wrote: “Where is Ian Beale?”
A second said: “Not happy that we have to wait longer to see Corrie’s Steve McDonald and EastEnders’ Ian Beale finally come together.
“Like MCU and DCEU combining #ImACeleb”
Another added: “Me waiting for Ian Beale and Steve McDonald to show up #imaceleb #imacelebrity”

The Sun can confirm that the pair will enter the show later.
This year’s series of the show, the 21st, will see 25 challenges in all. Ant, 46, warned: “This year is going to be tougher than ever.”
It is the second time the series has taken place at the reputedly haunted and Grade 1 listed Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales.
