Flooding closes I-880 in Fremont
Flooding early Monday closed Interstate 880 in both directions between Mowry and Thornton avenues in Fremont.
Fremont police announced at 3:26 a.m. Monday that the California Highway Patrol had closed all lanes of traffic in both directions and that there is no estimated time to reopen the highway.
This is a developing story and more information will be shared when it become available.
Other flooding-related closures noted early Monday on the Caltrans website:
- On-ramp from Olympic Boulevard to southbound Interstate 680, Walnut Creek.
- One lane closed on eastbound Highway 24 from Fish Ranch Road to Wilder, near Orinda.
- Off-ramp from southbound Highway 101 to southbound Millbrae Avenue, Millbrae.
- Two lanes closed on southbound Highway 101 from Lucky Drive to Tamalpais Drive, near Larkspur.
