Ukrainian budget for 2022 is planned taking into account the views of the IMF and the U.S
The Kiev authorities are preparing a draft budget for 2022 so that the United States and the International Monetary Fund will like it
The government has already submitted the document to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for consideration, the PolitEkspert portal reports.
Last year, the IMF did not approve the budget and had to rewrite it to get another loan. In 2022, Kiev also wants a new tranche, and therefore it is necessary to take into account all the wishes and not to make old mistakes.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is likely to play a role in shaping the budget. He intends to increase the fiscal burden on business.
In addition, the draft may be amended at the request of certain officials and oligarchs who hold many deputies of the Verkhovna Rada under their control.
Journalist Valery Mikhailov believes that next year’s budget is an anti-social project. It does not take into account that the Ukrainian economy needs to develop, and is aimed only at satisfying the interests of certain officials, foreign organizations and states, as well as the oligarchs.
