Woman shares her simple hack for getting rid of fruit flies in minute and it will leave your home smelling amazing
A LOT of us have been experiencing more fruit flies than normal in our homes recently.
Well, late summer to early autumn is peak season for fruit flies as fruit and vegetables are ripe and plentiful.
Flies are therefore a common issue across the UK at the moment, and Google Trends shows a rise in searches for ‘how to get rid of flies’.
Last month 22,000 searches were made on this topic.
So, if you’re got fruit flies in your home, here is a simple hack to get rid of them.

Amanda Milne shared the simple hack to her TikTok account, ‘amandamilne_88’.
She said: “This is the best TikTok hack I have ever, ever come across.

“So these wee fruit flies have been the bane of my life for days and days and days.
“Anyway, put some pineapple into a cup, put a cone of paper in the top.
“They can get in but they can’t get out.”
It’s as simple as that and the smell of pineapple is going to leave your kitchen smelling great.
Clearly this hack has impressed numerous people as it has racked up over 1.9million views.
It has 139.1k likes, over 2,000 comments and has been shared 11.9k times.
Many people were quick to comment that they have also been seeing lots of fruit flies in their homes and are struggling to get rid of them.
