A man is in custody following a fatal shooting inside a Mississippi casino. Police arrested 30-year-old Jereme Lamond Jones on Saturday, after he allegedly opened fire on Randy Johnson, 41, inside the Golden Nugget Casino in Biloxi.
Authorities said the two men got into a verbal argument outside the building before Johnson eventually walked back inside the casino. The suspect then followed him inside where he fired multiple shots at the victim in close range. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating if the two men knew each other prior to the altercation and what started the fight remains unknown. However, an investigation is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, Jones is being charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $1 million bond.
