The Hawaii location is a first for Chick-fil-A, but the chain already has a Hawaiian luau-themed restaurant, Truett's Luau. The restaurant is located in Georgia and is named after Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy. Cathy picked out the Polynesian decor himself.Source: Palm Beach Post
Cathy wanted the restaurant to be a place "where we celebrate as family with laughter, fun times, and good food," which a sign on the restaurant still reads. The 8,000 square foot restaurant has sit-down seating, counter service, and a drive-thru. It was built in 2013. Like typical Chick-fil-A restaurants, Truett's Luau is closed on Sundays. Workers wear Hawaiian shirts and greet customrse with "Aloha."Truett's Luau sells bubble lemonade, milkshakes, and frozen lemonade.
The restaurant has its own TikTok where customers can learn more about it.
The location has an exclusive tropical sauce for nuggets.
Grilled mahi tacos, fried cod sandwiches, and island chicken salad sandwiches are also on the menu. Even classic fries get a twist, like sweet potato fries.
The general manager shows off more details that contribute to the theme, including a luau-themed rickshaw and a waterfall.
For big fans, there's even merch available to buy from the restaurant.
The Hawaii location will be a regular Chick-fil-A with the standard menu.
