Inter Milan provide update on Cristian Eriksen’s condition in pre-season
Inter Milan have provided an update on former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen as the Dane visited the club’s training centre for the first time since his cardiac arrest.
The footballing world was left shocked when Eriksen collapsed during Denmark’s European Championship opener against Finland, with the medical staff on hand at the ground having to perform CPR on the former Spurs man, thankfully managing to resuscitate him using a defibrillator.
The midfielder was then rushed to a hospital where he was able to make a full recovery.
The 29-year-old has been recovering in Copenhagen, with reports explaining last week that he will undergo new and accurate heart checks back at Inter to determine the exact cause of his cardiac arrest and whether he could return to play.
Eriksen travelled to the Serie A club’s Suning Training Centre in Appiano Gentile yesterday to meet with new boss Simone Inzaghi and his teammates.
Inter have revealed the former Spurs man is in excellent physical and mental shape and he will now follow the recovery programme put forward by Danish doctors in Copenhagen, with the medical staff at the Serie A club also being kept informed about his progress.

Spurs Web Opinion
It is great to see Eriksen back in good spirits. While the former Tottenham midfielder will be hoping that he gets the green light to return to football, it remains to be seen if he could feature in the Serie A again given Italy’s strict rules regarding playing with a defibrillator.
