THIS is the moment Jordan Pickford told himself ‘no problem’… before spectacularly SAVING Jorginho’s penalty.
The England keeper may have been on the losing side after Italy won the Euro 2020 shootout, but he can leave with his head held high.Pickford then made a stunning world class save to deny the Chelsea star[/caption]
Pickford saved two Italy penalties – one of which ended Jorginho’s 100 per cent record with his national team.
Had the Chelsea midfielder scored, Italy would have triumphed then and there in the shoot-out, but Pickford was having none of it.
The Everton stopper, who revealed he started seeing a psychologist at the start of the season, was caught on camera geeing himself up.
He then proceeded to make a terrific save down low to his right to deny Jorginho.
In the end Pickford’s heroics were in vain as after Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho had missed their attempts, Bukayo Saka saw his penalty saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
But Euro 2020 was a brilliant tournament for Pickford who collected the Golden Glove award
The 27-year-old kept five clean sheets during the tournament, two more than Italian stopper Donnarumma.
Pickford picked up the award after stopping Croatia, Scotland, Czech Republic, Germany and Ukraine from scoring.

He conceded just two goals during the tournament, the first being Denmark star Mikkel Damsgaard’s stunning free-kick in the semi-final.
His stellar summer also saw him break the England record for most minutes without conceding.
He went 725 minutes without letting one in, surpassing Gordon Banks’ tally of 720 minutes – set during the World Cup in 1966.
Speaking about seeing a psychologist, Pickford told The Telegraph: “I just feel in a very good place.
“I began working with a psychologist at the start of the season.
“You know in football, those little one or two per cent gains — just to raise your ability on the pitch and what you can achieve — are crucial.
“Whether it’s nutrition, psychology, extra gym sessions. I think it helps. So why not use it?”
