Amazon Prime Day 2021: How you can save up to £50 on household goods including pet food, cleaning products and coffee

AMAZON Prime Day is in full swing with hundreds of offers on everyday products and savings up to £50 off top brands.

Well-known names like Huggies, SodaStream, and Pedigree are all part of the major savings this year.

There are massive discounts right now on brands you probably already stock up your cupboards with, so it’s the best time to grab some money-off.

The sale bonanza runs for 48 hours every year and kicked off this morning, but you only have until midnight tomorrow to cash in on many of the deals.

You’ll need to be a member of Amazon Prime to get the deals, and a subscription can cost £79 per year usually, or you can break it down to £7.99 per month.

If you don’t fancy paying that to nab the bargain prices today and tomorrow, you can get a one month free trial instead.

Huggies Nappy Pants

Huggies Pull Ups have a 360˚ waistband allowing your little one to jump, play and explore whilst still benefiting from the comfort the nappy pants provide.

This pack is suitable for size five, size six and six plus, which is usually ages 1½ – 3 years.

They’re designed to be flexible and breathable and they have a wetness indicator and a cute Disney design – these ones have Minnie Mouse on but you can get Disney Cars too for the same price.

You can buy the same nappy pants for £6 from Tesco but the supermarket’s price is for only half the amount as you only get 24 in a pack compared to Amazon’s offer of 48 in a pack.

Marigold Microfibre Cloths

You get five lots of these four pack cloths in Amazon’s deal.

They are extra thick and durable, made from knitted microfibre, and they’re designed to be versatile for use wet or dry without the need for chemicals.

In each pack the cloths come in four bright colours to make it easy to allocate cloths to different tasks or rooms, and they’re long lasting too so perfect as a cleaning investment.

You can buy the cloths in one four pack from Wilko for £2.95 which works out to be 95p more expensive per pack when you compare like for like with Amazon’s that are only £2 each – it’s a saving of nearly £5 overall.

Tassimo Variety Box

If you have a Tassimo then you’ll understand the struggle of stocking up the refills at a costly expensive.

With these packs you can simply insert each pod into a Tassimo Bosch brewer and enjoy.

Amazon’d deal includes eight servings of Costa Cappuccino, L’OR Latte Macchiato and Cadbury Hot Chocolate each, as well as 16 servings of – 8 servings Costa Americano and of Kenco Americano Grande too.

From the official Tassimo site you can buy a multipack for the equivalent of £17.95 which gets you the same amount of drinks, but sets you back another £3.10.

Andrex Toilet Roll

Never again will you be worried about running out of toilet paper, especially if you stock up on Amazon’s discounted 56 pack.

The rolls are designed to have a deep cushiony softness made with four layers for what Andrex describes as a “luxurious clean”.

At Asda you can get 16 rolls of the same toilet tissue for £7.75 so to make it up to the same amount Amazon is offering you’d be spending at least £31, more than double the price you pay at Amazon.

Pedigree Dentastix

You can make sure your canines teeth and gums are clean and healthy with Pedigree Dentastix, as the treats help build strong teeth and gums in dogs.

The daily dental chews are packed with vitamins and nutrients and they are scientifically proven to help reduce plaque and tartar build-up by up to 80% – they’re recommended by vets too.

You get 112 overall in this pack which is four boxes of 28 sticks and would make each box worth £4.

At Pets at Home you can buy a mega pack which includes 108 sticks for £22 so for four less chews you’d be paying £5.80 more.

SodaStream Spirit Machine

The new SodaStream design can be bought from Amazon at half the price over the Prime Day sales, fizzy water isn’t an essential but the deals so far might prompt you to treat yourself on a new appliance.

It’s got a compact, sleek design and cuts out the need to bulk buy carbonated water and there’s a one litre reusable bottle included too.

The fizzy water maker could supposedly save you up to 1,282 single-use plastic bottles over the space of four years, so it’s a great buy if you’re eco conscious too as well as spending savvy.

You can buy the SodaStream Spirit from Lakeland for £110 which makes it even more than double the price of Amazon’s reduction.

The extra £60 means it comes with another two more refillable bottles for your fizzy creations and recyclable gas cylinder, plus the three year guarantee that comes from buying from Lakeland.

Amazon can only provide a two year guarantee.
