This Morning gets Friends sofa – but Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield can’t even sit on it
THIS Morning brought in the sofa from Friends for a special themed edition of the show – but the hosts couldn’t sit on it.
Because of social distancing rules Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield couldn’t present the show from the settee in the Central Perk coffee shop from the classic sitcom.

However, because the US comedy was filmed decades before the coronavirus outbreak it was entirely unsuitable for social distancing.
Phillip and Holly have always strived to stay two metres from one another at all times while hosting This Morning.
He explained: “We’ve got the same sofa they had in Central Perk.
“Bizarrely, the length of it means we can’t actually sit on it. It kind of wrecks the moment.”

Holly insisted: “We can sit on an arm each. One butt cheek. The cast of Friends didn’t have to do that.”
Indeed, they took turns to sit on the famous orange sofa, with Holly, 40, having to stand in the wings while Phillip, 59, tried it out.
The closest they could get was with each of them perched on an arm on the settee as they spoke about the show.
Tonight sees the Friends cast reunite for a special show hosted by James Corden which aired in the US last night.
