Klarna app down after reports it logged users into other shoppers’ accounts
BUY now, pay later app Klarna is down leaving users unable to access their accounts.
The finance app which lets shoppers pay later for items bought online blamed technical difficulties.
Klarna users can’t access their accounts[/caption]A Klarna spokesperson said: “We are currently experiencing system disturbances caused by a technical error.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this is causing. Whilst we are addressing the issue, customers are unable to log into the app.”
A message on its website said the same.
Users earlier reported that they were able to log in to other shoppers accounts.
In one tweet to Klarna a user shared a video in which they appear to login several times to accounts with different names.
The user said: “Klarna has a major security issue on their hands this morning!!!! Every sign in is a different persons details.”
Another user said: “Each time I tried to log in to my Klarna account this morning, I’m on someone else’s account?”
It’s unclear if the technical issue is related.
We’ve asked Klarna and will update when we hear back.
Shoppers logging into Klarna accounts said the app was currently down for maintenance and to try again “in a few hours”.
