McDonald’s fan reveals how to get fresh fries every time with easy tweak in order – but there’s a catch
FED up with your fries not being pipe when you pick up your McDonald’s order? Fear no more, as one guy has revealed how you can ensure your fries are always hot by making a slight tweak to your food order.
A food blogger based in Sydney has revealed the simple way you can ensure your fries are cooked to order every time.
Jonny Massaad, from Cakemail – a cake delivery service down under, shared a video on Instagram and explained that when ordering fries, you should request them without salt.
Usually the fries are always covered in salt as they’re prepared, so when asked for without salt, the fries will need to be freshly cooked in a new batch.
Jonny tried the easy order tweak out for himself, ordering both fries as they come and requesting fries without salt.
“Another Maccas hack, order chips without salt and they’ll be fresher than the ones with salt, because they have to be made from fresh,” he explained.
He then tested both fries to see how warm they were with a thermometer.
The fries with salt recorded a reading of 24.3 degrees, while the fries that came without salt tested at 36.9 degrees.
Add your own salt and you’ve got yourself a freshly cooked, hot batch of fries.
Fans were all for the “clever” trick, with over 130k watching the video and hundreds commenting.
“DOPE hack. I wanna go test it out (sic),” wrote one person, while another said: “My mind is [blown].”
A third revealed: “My best friend used to do that! Always hot and fresh!”
However, others pointed out that while you’re fries might be hot, there’s a slight catch with tweaking your order.
Pointing out that cooking a fresh batch means you’ll be waiting longer for your order, one person commented: “Yeah but you also have to wait like 10mins for some chips soooooo… (sic)”
Another argued: “This makes [staff’s] job 10 times harder, especially in busy periods, just ask for fresh fries.”
