Katie Price’s fiance Carl Woods terrified he can’t have kids after using steroids when he was younger
KATIE Price’s boyfriend Carl Woods has been left terrified he may be unable to have children after using steroids when he was younger.
The controversial drugs – banned in most sports – are used to build muscle mass but can reduce sperm count.
As The Sun exclusively revealed last night Katie, 42, and Carl, 31, are desperate to have children together and have started IVF.
Speaking on Steph’s Packed Lunch today, he explained: “I’ve got a history of using steroids when I was younger.
“It’s always been in the back of my mind what potential damage I may or may not have done when I was taking them.”
Channel 4 cameras followed the pair as they visited a fertility specialist who told Carl: “We know past use of steroids usually does affect the sperm count.”
He said: “When I was younger, I couldn’t see past my nose, so I used to use steroids when I was going to the gym.
“Only when you get older do you realise when you do when you’re younger could affect you when you’re older. It’s worrying.”
Speaking about having children he told host Steph McGovern: “If we couldn’t, I’m not going to leave her over it. But I’d love to have kids of my own.”
Katie added: “I wouldn’t leave you either if you couldn’t.”

He also revealed the star’s terminally-ill mum Amy, who is desperate for another grandchild, calls up to remind them to have sex.
He said: “You know the mum wants it when she rings you up saying ‘Have you done it, it’s ovulating day? Make sure you’re doing it.”
