Jaylen Brown Out for Rest of Season
The Boston Celtics have announced Jaylen Brown will miss the remainder of the season due to a wrist injury, which will require surgery later this week.

Brown last played in the Celtics 129-119 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on May 2, scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes. A primary playmaker for the team, Brown started 58 games, averaging 34 minutes, 25 points, six rebounds and three assists per game. He was second on the team in usage, behind Jayson Tatum, with a 29.7% usage rate.
Expect Evan Fournier to remind in the starting role with Brown out of the rotation. Starting in three games in place of Brown, Fournier has averaged 33 minutes, 22 points, five rebounds and five assists per game. In Sunday’s 124-130 loss to the Heat, Fournier scoring 30 points, three rebounds and eight assists, playing 35 minutes.
With a 35-33 record, the Celtics are currently the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. They will play the Miami Heat on Tuesday in a home finale before heading on the road to finish the regular season. They are +8500 to win the NBA Championship on FanDuel Sportsbook.
