WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Falcons brought a limited field to compete this past weekend at the Wichita State KT Woodman Classic.
Miranda Tenove (2:21.52) produced a solid third-place result in the 800 meter run and Cassandra Loesch (SR/Lyons, Kan.) finished sixth in both the Shot Put (11.54m) and Discus (34.68m).
Makenzie Burns (JR/Goddard, Kan.) also posted a top five showing in the Hammer Throw (45.37m).
In the men's field events, Brayden Wells (JR/Wichita, Kan. ) posted a pair of Top 10 finishes, including a top-five showing in the Hammer Throw. Wells' mark in the Hammer was 54.04m and hit both the NAIA "A" and "B" Standard.
Isaac Campbell (JR/Sedan, Kan.) came in seventh in the Shot Put (14.85m) and ninth in the Hammer Throw (46.01m), while Carter Bowen (SO/Medford, Okla. ) (39.60m) was 11th in the both the Discus and Hammer (42.98m).
In the Javelin, Noah Myers (SR/Pratt, Kan.) (47.05m) wound up 10th overall.
Next weekend (Apr. 24), both Falcon outdoor track & field teams will ramp up action at the Tabor College Invitational in Hillsboro, Kan.
