Dynamic duo: CeCe Winans, Carrie Underwood own ACM Awards
NEW YORK: Gospel legend CeCe Winans and country superstar Carrie Underwood joined forces for a top-notch, powerful performance at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Underwood performed songs from her recent gospel hymns album “My Savior,” and she and Winans blended their voices like angels. Underwood kicked off the performance with “Amazing Grace” and “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” then Winans joined in, matching her strong vocal performance.
Collaborative moments were a theme during the show.
Miranda Lambert, the most decorated artist in the history of the ACM Awards, and rock-pop singer Elle King had a fun, energetic performance of their new duet.
Jeffree Star hospitalized after Wyoming car crash
CASPER, Wyo.: YouTube personality, businessman and musician Jeffree Star was hospitalized after a car crash in Wyoming.
Star veered off a slushy road in the Casper area and overturned his Rolls Royce, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
A friend, Daniel Lucas, also was in the car. Both were taken to Wyoming Medical Center in Casper with undisclosed injuries.
Star is best known for his cosmetics business. He has been splitting time between California and his small ranch near Casper.
Since moving to Wyoming, Star has said he plans to employ locals at a warehouse for his company, Jeffree Star Cosmetics.
