G. Gordon Liddy, who died this week, Recalls the Motives for the Watergate Break-In
The notorious former Soldier, FBI operative has died at 90, one of the few recorded death of the elderly not related to Covid according to his son.
Mr. Liddy, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent and Army veteran, was convicted of conspiracy, burglary and illegal wiretapping for his role in the Watergate burglary, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. He spent four years and four months in prison, including more than 100 days in solitary confinement.
“I’d do it again for my president,” he said years later, as quoted by the WSJ.
