DWI charges against Bruce Springsteen dropped by prosecutors
The DWI charges against Bruce Springsteen were dismissed by prosecutors on Wednesday, Page Six reported.
Springsteen, who had two shots from a fan, then drove off and was pulled over by police. His blood-alcohol level never reached the level that would qualify as a DWI charge. It was only 0.02, the report said.
"I had two small shots of tequila," the singer said.
"It's actually low enough that the defendant would be considered presumptively not impaired under New Jersey law," said Assistant US Attorney Adam Baker. "We do look to New Jersey law as persuasive guidance."
