Black-Owned Kids & Baby Brands to Shop on Amazon

In honor of Black History Month, we rounded up some of the best Black-owned kids and baby brands on Amazon. When you’re shopping, you might go straight for your tried-and-true brands and immediately add them to your cart. But you could instead to be mindful and support some innovative Black-owned businesses.

It’s important to show huge e-tailers, like Amazon, that Black-owned businesses are worth supporting and promoting — far beyond February’s Black History month. We should be buying from these storefronts year-round, not just one or two months out of the year. Black businesses were hit especially hard during the pandemic. Research has shown that businesses in majority Black zip codes had to wait longer for PPP loans to be approved than those in white zip codes.

If you’re Black and want to find dolls for your child that look like them, we’ve got you covered. Or if you’re not Black, but are making good on promises you made in June during the Black Lives Matter protests, there are plenty of baby products and toys you and your kids will love. We rounded up everything from vibrant, fun face masks to bath toys that even the most nervous little bather will enjoy. You can check out our picks below and see for yourself.

Amazon has made a “Buy Black” storefront that you can browse. We just found toys, kids and baby items for the purpose of this article, but you can shop a variety of categories, including beauty, home and fitness.

Our mission at SheKnows is to empower and inspire women, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link within this story, we may receive a small commission of the sale.
