10 Celeb Holidays we want to recreate as soon as we can travel again – from the Maldives to Bodrum & Santorini

A SUNSHINE break abroad is, for most of us, nothing more than a distant memory.

Even celebrities who spend half their lives on holiday haven’t had any use for sunscreen in the last eight months.

Take inspiration from celebrities like Maura Higgins for your next foreign holiday, when we’re finally able to go abroad again[/caption]

But seeing as we also aren’t hopping on a flight anytime soon, why not spend the rest of lockdown planning for your ultimate trip when things do open up.

And who better to provide some inspiration that those country-hopping stars?

We’ve rounded up some of the holiday destinations best-loved by celebrities.

Whether it’s sipping cocktails in Bodrum or watching the sunset in Santorini, these are the holidays you’ll want to recreate as soon as we can travel again.

With its flashy resorts and incredible skyline, Dubai has the perfect backdrop for celebrities, drawn to its year-round heat and great beaches.

Abbey Clancy visited with husband Peter Crouch and their children this past Christmas, and Towie favourites Amber Turner and Yazmin Oukhellou have both been spotted in the city. 

In recent times, Dubai has become known as the ‘Benidorm of the Middle East’ for ex-Love Islanders, who have also flocked there in their droves. 

Love Island star Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury recently stayed at the amazing Burj Al Arab, one of the most famous and luxurious hotels in the world.

Meanwhile, Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor went Instagram official with their relationship while out in Dubai together.

Dubai is a pricey holiday spot, with alcohol especially expensive, but there are some incredible hotel and flight deals right now which helps to take the edge off.

Ibiza has been a popular hot spot for partying, sunbathing and exploring its beautiful Old Town among celebrities for decades now.

The White Isle has hosted a number of TV stars, including former Love Islanders Arabella Chi, Harley Brash and Amber Gill, who flew out for a girls’ holiday.

Olivia Palermo holidayed there with her husband and Paris Hilton DJ’s in Ibiza nightclubs.

It also got the royal seal of approval by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, when they holidayed on the island in 2006, before getting married.

The pair even attended the famous Pacha nightclub.

Ibiza has also been the destination of choice for former WAG Danielle Lloyd and her family, as well as Geordie Shore alums Sophie Kasaei and Charlotte Crosby.

The South of France

The glamour of the south of France has long drawn an A-list crowd, including Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian.

You can usually find the celebs in Cannes or St Tropez – where there are luxurious hotels, mega yachts, great beaches and nightlife.

The Cote D’Azur is eye-wateringly expensive if you want to spend money in all of the A-List hangouts, but there are also plenty of deals to be had on flights, holiday homes and hotels.

Once you get there, there are plenty of great cafes, restaurants and bars that don’t cost the earth either.

With 12 million visitors a year (in a normal year), Disneyland Paris is the most popular attraction in Europe.

It’s also a hit with stars, who love visiting ‘The Happiest Place on Earth’ as much as we do. 

Famous names that have visited the home of Mickey, Minnie and all the Disney princesses include John Legend, who helped Disneyland Paris celebrate its 25th anniversary by performing his rendition of Beauty and the Beast.

Supermodel Kate Moss is a big fan of Bodrum and regularly holidays there.

The model visits LifeCo resort, where she goes to maintain her amazing figure, for a detox most years.

Even her pal Naomi Campbell has been known to join.

It’s no surprise when you consider that the islands are famous for their picture-perfect beaches, crystal-clear waters and luxurious resorts.
