Longshot
NEACHELLS BRIDGE (2.20 Wincanton)
He returned from 10 months off to finish a decent third here on Boxing Day. Robert Dunne wasn’t too hard on him and he should be much fitter today.
He won a similar contest to this over fences in testing conditions at Wincanton this time last year and is only 2lb higher in the weights now.

Each way thief
ONCHAN (1.40 Ludlow)
It’s still early days for Nigel Twiston-Davies’ six-year-old who found an extended three miles in the mud too much at Hereford last time. He takes a wise drop in distance here having gone close in similar company at Wetherby in October.
Give in the ground is not a worry and he can hit the frame at least.
SHAMSHON (3.30 Lingfield)
This 10-year-old is a regular at Lingfield and his last visit was a winning one earlier this month.
He then didn’t get the run of the race at Wolverhampton last time when having to settle for fifth. Moving up in distance holds no fears as he has winning form over it. Trainer Stuart Williams is going well and this looks very winnable.
