COOPED-UP Brits flocked to beaches and parks this weekend to enjoy the winter sunshine after Boris Johnson urged people to stay home.
The Prime Minister begged people to “think twice” before leaving the house this weekend and to keep following the national lockdown rules while the Covid vaccination rollout is ramped up.

Hundreds flocked to the seafront in Brighton to enjoy an hours exercise [/caption] People enjoyed a stroll on the Long-walk at Windsor in London[/caption]Brits packed out parks and beaches today for their permitted exercise as the sun shone after a week of brutal downpours and snow.
People were keen to make the most of the winter sun after a week of dismal weather and more heavy rain on the way this week.
Restless Brits crowded onto Brighton and Bournemouth seafronts, while others took a stroll on the Long Walk in Windsor.
Londoners were out taking their daily exercise in Victoria Park and Hyde Park.
Bunches of people walked along the riverside in Newcastle.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock was spotted yesterday among the crowds at Queen’s Park in London.
Footage shows him enjoying his daily outdoor exercise in a muddy shirt while carrying a rugby ball, as families mill around behind him.
A member of the public joked: “You’re a bit dirty mate?” to which Hancock replied, “Bit of a muddy Saturday.”

Today’s weather has been a mix of sunny spells and showers and Southern and eastern England was forecast to be mostly dry.
Hundreds of restless Brits have headed to beauty spots across the country since the UK was plunged into another lockdown.
It comes after The Sun revealed the government is endorsing a new campaign to deter those meeting their mates for a coffee.
Restrictions are set to lift in March before a return to the Tier system, after the government approved a three-point plan for lifting the lockdown.
The Foreign Minister Dominic Raab said easing measures will “not happen in one big bang,” instead insisting they will be “phased out” in individual regions.
In order for measures to be eased, an area’s death rate must fall, the number of hospital admissions must drop and some in the 50 to 70-year-old age range must be vaccinated.

More than 3.5 million people in the UK have now received a coronavirus vaccine – trumping the number of people who have tested positive for the virus, government figures show.
As of Friday, a total of 3,559,179 people had been administered their first dose, and 447,261 people have received their second shot.
The latest comes as the UK reported 1,295 coronavirus-related deaths and 41,346 yesterday.

“This should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area.
“You should maintain social distancing.”
